Set up the automation on your iPhone
It takes about 3 minutes. You need the Shortcuts app (built into iPhone) and iOS 17 or later.
A. Create the "My priorities" Shortcut
- Open the Shortcuts app, "Shortcuts" tab, then tap "+".
- Add the "Get Device Details" action and choose "Screen Width".
- Add a second "Get Device Details" action and choose "Screen Height".
- Add a "Text" action and paste your URL, followed by ?w= [Screen Width] &h= [Screen Height] (insert both values as variables).
- Add the "Get Contents of URL" action.
- Add the "Set Wallpaper Photo" action (the exact name depends on your iOS version): pick your current wallpaper, keep only "Lock Screen", and turn off "Show Preview" and "Crop to Subject".
- Name the Shortcut "My priorities" and tap "Done".
Text to put in the "Text" action:
https://…/api/w/YOUR-TOKEN.png?w=[Screen Width]&h=[Screen Height]Sign in to see your personal URL here.
B. Run it every morning automatically
- "Automation" tab, then "+" (or "New Automation").
- Choose "Time of Day", set the time (e.g. 7:00 AM) and "Daily".
- Select "Run Immediately" and turn off "Notify When Run".
- Tap "Next", then pick the "My priorities" Shortcut.
C. Test it
- Open the "My priorities" Shortcut and tap ▶︎.
- Lock your iPhone: your priorities show up under the clock.
Troubleshooting
- The wallpaper doesn't change: check that the wallpaper action targets your current wallpaper, and that it's a photo wallpaper.
- Text overlaps the clock or widgets: remove lock screen widgets or show fewer tasks.
- If the server doesn't respond, you keep yesterday's wallpaper. Nothing breaks.
